New Car Club Opens In Dallas Texas

There’s something the salespeople at the Porsche dealer in Dallas and the BMW dealer in Fort Worth don’t want luxury and high-end sports car enthusiasts in the Metroplex to find out about.  It’s called the DFW Elite Car Club.com and it’s a new way to enjoy a fleet of the world’s most distinctive cars for much less than the cost of owning even one of them.

“What most high-end car owners don’t expect is how little they reach for the keys and how much they reach for their wallets,” reports car collector, real estate developer, and DFW Elite Car Club.com founder Ron Sturgeon.  “We believe that exotic and high-end car lovers in the Metroplex are ready for a better, less costly way to drive elite automobiles.”  That new way is called DFW Elite Car Club.com.

“Timeshares for airplanes and yachts have been around for years,” reports Mr. Sturgeon. “We are just extending the same idea to a fleet of exotic, luxury, and classic automobiles.”  Membership is open to both corporations and individuals.  In exchange for their monthly dues, members receive an allotment of points that work like currency for use of club vehicles at costs far lower than ownership or daily rental rates.

Exotic Car Rental Network Launches New Directory Dedicated to Exotic Car Clubs

January 22, 2007, Dallas TX -The Rent Exotic Cars Network (www.RentExoticCars.net) has added a new directory devoted to exotic and luxury car clubs. Exotic Car Clubs (www.ExoticCarClubs.com) includes both exotic car share clubs and fractional ownership exotic car clubs.  “This type of directory website doesn’t exist anywhere else,” says Cheryl Lyman, webmaster and president of CS Publications (www.cspublications.com).

“Once we launched www.RentExoticCars.net, many exotic car clubs asked to be listed,” says Lyman.  “Research showed us why:  there wasn’t a directory exclusive to the exotic car club industry. Some directories listed car clubs with rental companies.  Although they belong there, we felt that car clubs deserved a directory devoted exclusively to them, so we launched www.exoticcarclubs.com.”

“All segments of the exotic car sharing, rental and time share industry are growing,” reports Ron Sturgeon, president of the recently formed Exotic Auto Rental Association (www.exoticautorentalassoc.com) and founder of DFW Car Club.com (www.dfwelitecarclub.com).  “Since we met to form an association, I have had steady emails about the business, so it’s obviously getting attention. Consumers want the product, but not enough entrepreneurs have been willing to enter this highly fragmented niche.  This new directory will help exotic car enthusiasts find share clubs and fractional ownership opportunities near them by visiting an easy-to-use website.

Fractional car clubs are a small but growing part of the picture.  According to a recent Helium Club report, “some clubs provide members fractional usage of or ownership in one car, whereas other clubs provide members fractional usage of a fleet of exotic cars.”

AutoWeek magazine uses a familiar concept to describe how car clubs work in their article,  “Country Clubs for Car People (February 20, 2006). According to the article, “The [exotic car club] premise is simple: Pay a prescribed amount each year to participate, get 10 – 20 or more days in a bunch of desirable cars.  The generic name for these enterprises could be car lease clubs, but the guys behind the clubs prefer you think of them as country clubs for car people.”

Exotic Car Clubs.com lists each club with contact information, specifics on the type of club, and links to each club’s site.  The site will also feature a calendar, news and articles about specific exotic car clubs and the industry as a whole. A blog devoted to items of interest to exotic car club members is included. Drivers are invited to share their experiences. Visitors may subscribe to the free blog feed to receive immediate notice of new events and items. Now there is one place for the exotic car club community to go for information. “The site is devoted to exotic car clubs, and we want to make it a place members look forward to visiting,” says Lyman.

Exotic Car Clubs.com gives one central site on the internet for information and news of all clubs, domestic and international. The directory will help promote the fleet-sharing industry as a whole. Cheryl is the web pioneer in this sector, and has created a unique and useful directory. It is worthy of our support,” states Henri Deschamps, president and founder of Club Ferdinand (www.clubferdinand.us).

Fractional Ownership and Car Country Clubs Now Linked to the Rent Exotic Cars Network

December 26, 2006 – Dallas, Texas – Enjoyment of the finer things in life has never been more within the reach of a larger number of Americans.  Driving an exotic car for the day, traveling on a private jet, cruising the seas on a luxury yacht, even toting a designer purse around for the evening can all be done at a fraction of the cost of ownership.  Making this possible are innovative new trends such as fractional ownership of exotic autos and car country clubs. The Rent Exotic Cars Network (www.RentExoticCars.net) is now linked to a new directory devoted to exotic and luxury car clubs. Exotic Car Clubs (www.ExoticCarClubs.com) includes listings of fractional ownership car clubs, and car country clubs across the United States and the world and has become the Internet’s most comprehensive source for information on these new trends. According to Fedor Suica, “It just makes sense that we are going to see more enthusiasts utilizing fractional ownerships, and even joining car country clubs, to enjoy these cars without the burden associated with outright ownership.”  Suica, of Showcase Exotic Rentals (www.showcaseexoticrentals.com) in Newport Beach, CA, also serves as treasurer of the Exotic Auto Rental Association (www.exoticautorentalassoc.com). “These other extensions of the exotic auto rental business are in their infancy, but growing fast,” adds Ron Sturgeon.  A leader in the exotic auto rental industry, Sturgeon is president of DFW Elite Auto Rental.com (www.DFWEliteAutoRental.com) in the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex. The fractional ownership concept for exotic automobiles is simple.  A group of people share ownership of a fleet of exotic and luxury automobiles, spreading both the costs and benefits to each member.  Once a person has joined the group, they gain access to all the positives – status, excitement, and the best possible driving experience – that come when you sit behind the wheel of a luxury automobile, yet with none of the issues – insurance, maintenance, or storage — that come with owning high performance automobiles.  For a member in good standing, once you’ve scheduled your car, you can just get in and go. Car country clubs take a different approach to membership, more similar to what might be found in a golf country club.  Club activities would typically be centered on a road racing course, managed and maintained by a third party.  An individual owning one or more luxury or exotic cars would join a car country club to use the private track for performance driving or serious hobby pursuits.  The tracks are safe, laid out for speed, and the whole environment is designed to help bring out the best in participating owner-drivers.  Car country members are also usually offered the optioned of top end garaging for their prized vehicles.

In a Wall Street Journal article last year, Rachel Emma Silverman said, “The clubs are opening at a time when interest in collector cars is booming. In addition to favorable demographics – a big cohort of wealthy baby boomers who grew up during the height of American car culture – televised car races and reality television shows featuring car makeovers have also driven interest.”  It’s a trend worth watching, says Cheryl Lyman, the Pres. of  CS Publications, and webmaster for Rent Exotic Cars.net.
