Exotic Car Clubs welcomes LuxuryDir as a marketing partner

Seaons Greetings to all:

We want to welcome a new marketing partner, LuxuryDir.com to the network. This new directory is a worldwide luxury directory that was recently launched.

David Jeangilles, Chairman of LuxuryDir, explained the need for the directory. “It was important to launch a global directory in the field of luxury. This demanding sector in terms of quality must be both state of the art in technology and be close to its customers. It is part and parcel of their lives: it must be available at any time, wherever you are. As you know we are living in a world where time is our daily enemy. We cannot control it but we can do many things to adapt to it. Our society evolves faster and faster, and is becoming more modern and comfortable. Time is our most precious asset. Yet money cannot buy time!”

Through this partnership, we are able to promote the directories to more consumers. This in turn helps to feature our advertisers and those listed in our directory. Just one of the benefits of being in the network. In the coming weeks we will be bringing special offers to our advertisers from LuxuryDir.

Merry Christmas,

Cheryl

Helium Report Interview with John Caron

We spoke with John Caron yesterday about his new business venture, The Otto Club. We recently posted a comparison chart of the top five car clubs in the U.S. including The Otto Club. Having already profiled Club Sportiva and Classic Car Club Manhattan, we wanted to offer more details about The Otto Club.

After 15 successful years as a marketing executive in the technology industry, Caron wanted to pursue his lifelong passion — exotic cars. So in 2005 he founded The Otto Club, which now has 23 members and 7 cars in the Boston area. He had seen the first fractional car clubs in Europe and Australia and recognized the huge potential market.

Henri Deschamps & Club Ferdinand lend support to Exotic Car Clubs.com

Dear Fellow Owner-Managers of Exotic Car-Share Clubs, Race-Tracks Clubs and Vehicle Fractional Ownership Programs,Although you no doubt have hundreds of emails piled up in your inbox as I have I sincerely believe in your best interest to read this email and follow-up on it as it will benefit all of us as a sector and each of us as individual clubs.

Recently I had a long conversation with Cheryl Lyman of CS Publications. She was in the process of publishing an Exotic Car Rental Directory online and had asked if I wanted to advertise.

I spoke to her for close to two hours by phone on the emerging car-share club sector and how since we did not have a home/directory on the net she might focus her efforts also to build us a directory where people could find us.

I recommended she make it complete, filled with content and articles, and provide news rather than design it as a simple links and/or referral engine. I sensed that this directory properly done could add a great deal of credibility to our field, and give us a place we could be properly represented and promote the logic behind what we propose. No matter how exclusive or open your particular proposal and marketing strategy is, we all want and need to promote the credibility of the concept and industry, and to have clients and that is the bottom line.

She has worked very hard to make that happen and will be continuing to work to improve the site over the next year.

I promised if she did a site like that I would do three things:

1) Provide her all the information I had compiled on clubs in the course of our research to provide her content, Done
2) Advertise to support the site, Done
3) Try to encourage and convince other clubs to do the same. That is the object of this email.

Her name and contact information is below:

Cheryl Cowen Lyman

and I urge you to support her initiative by doing the same
1) Provide her all the information you have compiled on clubs in the course of your research to provide her content on as regular a basis as your time will allow.
2) Advertise on her site to support the site. You can review her proposals at
http://www.exoticcarclubs.com/advertise.asp and if you are convince pay at http://www.rentexoticcars.net/payment.asp
3) Try to encourage and convince other clubs to do the same.

My own experience with Cheryl is that she does what she says she will do and she does it quickly, caringly and diligently.

By participating with her to build this directory you will make it richer, deeper, and more appropriate to our needs. While she knows web design she does not know the field. Your thinking, experience and support can greatly contribute to making this happen right. At 900 dollars for six months, and a few hours of your time, My own conviction is that we have very little to lose when compare to our collective financial investment in the field. I am sure we are one of the smaller clubs yet we still have 1 Million of our own very hard-earned cash in our club; 900 dollars and a few hours is somewhat of a a no-brainer. So the question I ask you is this: What do you have to gain, what do you have to lose.

Thank you for taking the time from your very busy day to read this and please do at least give her a call or send her an email to get more info. She certainly deserves it for the time, money and effort she has put into it. If nothing else, tell her what you would like to see on there. Again in my experience this is someone who listens, wants feedback, and then tries to do it as well as she knows how. In my opinion, her initiative is well worthy of our collective support.

Best Regards,

Henri Deschamps
